This is a “Blog” feed, which we can use to create individual posts, and have a chosen number of posts displayed on the front page.

We can show the latest 5 (or 10) posts, which might be rally news, event details, possibly even editorial content to cross over with Brass Notes.
This lets us provide access to posting on the home page of the website without directly editing the home page itself: you simply create a new post and it feeds into the front page, with older articles remaining in archive.
Images can be placed inside the post themselves, and there is functionality to allow people to leave comments/discussion on each Blog entry. This can however also attract spam comments, so it can be disabled if preferred.
