Welcome to the 2021 RACV Midwinter Rally and On-line Entry
This long awaited event on the Mornington Peninsula is finally becoming a reality, despite the ordeal of our COVID world and the restrictions that were, and to some extent, are still thrust upon us.
We want to say thanks to the RACV for their continued support and to our club members for their participation and bravery to tackle another jaunt in our neck of the woods, in the dead of winter.
We started preparing for this event 18 months ago and the planning and revised planning have developed what we hope will be an enjoyable tour of the country side, Westernport and Port Phillip Bays, as well as a chance to check out the Heads; the entrance to Port Phillip Bay and of course Melbourne.

The Fairways Resort Motel, which is adjacent to the Rosebud Country Club, rally H/Q, have again provided rooms that are keenly priced, relative to tariffs charged on the Peninsula.

If you have any concerns about using the system, feel free to contact Michael Holding on the Help Line number below. He will guide you through it or provide alternative options.
The Entry Form is essentially a shopping list of items that you can add to your shopping cart. At each line item, you select the quantity you need, skipping over any items you don’t want.
Once you have selected all your items, click on any of the View Cart buttons.
IMPORTANT – From the View Cart, carefully check that you have the correct items, with the correct quantities on the list.You can delete items or adjust quantities to correct your order.
When you are happy, click on the Proceed to checkout button.
You will then be asked for vehicle, driver/rider and passenger information including contact details and any dietary requirements.
Select your method of payment VISA/Mastercard, EFT or Cheque by clicking the appropriate button and note the instructions.
Click on Place Order and your entry is complete.
You will receive an email advising your Order Number and the details you submitted.
Friday – For those arriving on Friday afternoon, we plan an afternoon shake down run. This will be a bit of a putt around the area ending up at Hickenbotham’s winery where we can enjoy complimentary nibbles and purchase wine and craft beer.
The consensus for dinner is that we get together, informally, and eat at the country club.
Saturday – The tour starts from the country club carpark. We will kick off around 9:00am and proceed along scenic country lanes to the Westernport side of the peninsula. This will be part of our nautical effort.
Lunch will be a “Jones” special delivery. Julie will be driving the Uber Vespa!!
On the way back to Rosebud, you can visit the Pt Leo Estate sculpture park for either a 30 or a 60 minute walk, at a cost of $10 per adult. ($5 concession) You will have ample time to return to your accommodation in preparation for the evening dinner.
A three course dinner will be served in the dinning room at the country club. Drinks will be available at bar prices.
Sunday – Sunday morning will see the Cold Start competition in “full swing”, after which we will set off to explore the Port Phillip Bay region.
Lunch will be provided by the Jones Catering Corporation with a hint of “Bunningesque” about it. We will wind up sometime after lunch with only a short drive back to the country club.
